Fiona Polzin

Fiona Polzin, MA (She/Her/Hers) is a pre-licensed therapist who earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of St. Thomas. She supports children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, stress concerns, life transitions, relational distress, and parenting challenges. She has previous experience working in a residential setting supporting clients in their recovery from eating disorders. She also holds certification and previous experience as a yoga teacher and values mind-body practices for stress management and mental health. 

 

Fiona’s approach is warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and she seeks to empower her clients to be the author of their own story and explore what truly matters to them. She draws on therapeutic approaches including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 

Fiona is trained in a systemic lens to be able to support individuals, couples, and families and is open to working with clients ages 6 and up. She has completed the PSI Certificate Training for the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Fiona is clinically supervised by Amy Engelhard, LMFT.
