Megan Jenson

Megan Jenson, BA (She/Her/Hers), is a graduate student at the University of St. Thomas pursuing her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Megan holds a certificate in LGBTQIA+ studies and an additional certificate in Gender & Women’s Studies from her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Prior to Mindful Families Megan has experience supporting children diagnosed with autism and developmental disorders, teaching them behavioral skills and calming techniques.
Megan’s approach prioritizes inclusion, validation, and empathy while empowering her clients to explore, accept, and love themselves. She draws on methods and skills, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Megan supports individuals, couples, and families and is open to working with clients ages 6 and up, and has a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ clients. Amy Engelhard, LMFT, clinically supervises Megan.
